A recent report by McKinsey & Company takes a critical look at gender diversity in corporate America, analyzing data from 333 participating organizations employing more than 12 million people. The report reveals that women are demanding more from their employers and are leaving their current roles in record numbers to find more elsewhere.
Data shows that while significant progress has been made in terms of greater female representation in executive and board roles, there are still shortfalls. Too few women are yet attaining senior most leadership positions, particularly women of color. Companies are now struggling to hold onto the relatively few women leaders they have and develop the next generation.
