The UK Financial Reporting Council (FRC) has released its Annual Review of Corporate Governance Reporting, which found that, while there have been improvements in the quality of reporting against the UK Corporate Governance Code, some shortcomings remain in meeting stakeholder expectations.
"We are pleased to see clear progress made by some companies in providing transparent and insightful disclosures," said Mark Babington, Executive Director of Regulatory Standards at the FRC. "However, more work is needed across the board to meet stakeholder expectations through clear reporting that provides genuine insights into governance outcomes and actions."
