Peter Conti-Brown is the Class of 1965 Associate Professor of Financial Regulation at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Nonresident Fellow in Economics Studies at The Brookings Institution. A financial historian and a legal scholar, he studies central banking, financial regulation, and public finance, with a particular focus on the history and policies of the US Federal Reserve System. He has authored several books, most recently co-authoring Private Finance, Public Power: A History of Bank Supervision in America.
