Q: Your book, Linked, was released 20-years ago. Sub-titled, How Everything is Connected to Everything Else and What it Means for Business, Science, and Every Day Life, the ideas therein have started to influence management science. Why do you think that is?

A: On one hand, the profound impact that network science has had over the past two decades continues to humble me — it has far exceeded my expectations. While my initial target audience was those literate in science, the extensive embrace we’re now seeing from the business and management community took me by surprise.
