At the World Economic Forum meeting in Davos last week, Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff predicted that, going forward, businesses will increasingly integrate AI agents into their workforce, as reported by Axios.
Benioff highlighted AI's growing role, noting that Salesforce's "Agent Force" has boosted productivity by resolving 5,000 additional support inquiries weekly. "We are really moving into a world now of managing humans and [AI] agents together," Benioff said.
Benioff's comments came as a part of a larger conversation revolving around the future of AI and how it can be regulated effectively. Gary Cohn, Vice Chairman of IBM and a Starling Advisor, warned against overregulating AI, expressing hopes that the Trump administration would “allow the U.S. to be the dominant creative force in AI.”
"Our competitive and comparative advantages in the United States is we've got capital and we've got creativity, and we've got entrepreneurial spirit," Cohn said. "We want to continue to thrive with that. … We want to continue to have all of our smart minds contribute to the AI world. We don't want to let someone else win."
