A leak of documents detailing the accounts of 30,000 Credit Suisse clients has jeopardized Switzerland’s attempts at shedding a reputation, among some, as the global banking center of choice for oligarchs, corrupt government officials, and drug smugglers.
The leak, known as "Suisse Secrets," includes many documents, some dating back decades. It was reported by a syndicate of media outlets, creating further embarrassment for a bank that has spent recent years lurching from crisis to crisis.
