Bloomberg's recent Gender-Equality Index has revealed that we are still far from reaching gender parity in corporate leadership positions. Out of a sample of 484 companies across 45 countries, only 41 had female CEOs. Board composition shows a similar trend, with 50 firms having female chairpersons and 32% of total board seats occupied by women.
"Over the last few years, we have seen an increase in diversity in management positions, however, there is still work to be done," says Sabah Cambrelen, workforce transformation partner with PwC.
