Les Matheson is the Group Chief Operating Officer at the National Australia Bank Limited.
He has previously held several executive roles within the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), most recently as CEO of Personal and Business Banking (2014 - 2020), where he also assumed responsibility for Ulster Bank in Ireland from 2015. Les joined RBS in 2010 as Managing Director for Retail Products, adding Marketing to his portfolio a year later.
Prior to these roles, Les spent most of his banking career at Citibank, where his roles included Division Executive Central Asia, Retail CEO and Country Head for Australia, and Head of Private Client Business and Marketing for the Asia Pacific Region. He was a member of the Citigroup Global Management Committee.
