Recent remarks from the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) on corporate criminal enforcement carry important implications for compliance teams.

Last fall, Deputy Attorney General Monaco announced that we should expect to see an increase in corporate criminal enforcement and that prosecutors will take a wide view of companies’ past wrongdoings.
