Observations

Edelman’s fifth annual Trust Barometer Special Report, finds that investors now subject environmental, social and governance (ESG) interests to the same degree of scrutiny as operational and financial considerations when making investment decisions.

The survey also finds that investors believe in the "empowered employee,” with 74% of global investors identifying employee activism as an indicator of a healthy workplace culture. Additionally, 86% of U.S. investors say a workplace culture that fosters employee empowerment is important for building trust between firms and investors.
