Late last month, Wayne Byres, Chair of the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA), announced that he would be leaving the regulator at the end of October after eight years in the role.

During Byres' tenure at APRA, the agency has become a global leader in the regulation and supervision of culture and conduct risks, with much of its work focusing on governance, risk culture, remuneration and accountability (GCRA) concerns.
