Observations

Harvard Business School Professor Amy Edmondson, who serves on Starling's Academic Advisory Board, has won the Financial Times and Schroders Business Book of the Year Award for Right Kind of Wrong: The Science of Failing Well, her recent book on the necessity of learning from "intelligent failures."

In Right Kind of Wrong, Edmondson critiques the two prevailing philosophies surrounding failure in the business world: one that aims to avoid it at all costs and another that prioritizes failing fast and often. She argues that both are misguided, instead advocating for minimizing unproductive failure and maximizing what we can learn from "intelligent failure."
