In a recent speech, Mary-Elizabeth McMunn, Deputy Governor at the Central Bank of Ireland, reflected on the challenges leaders in firms and in supervisory bodies face in navigating today’s uncertain world.

“[A]midst uncertainty and rapid change it is crucial we stick to, and deliver, the fundamentals, which for me start with effective risk management and governance, underpinned by a strong ethical culture and driven by a proactive approach to managing the risks and uncertainties facing your business, and your customers,” McMunn said. “This of course includes actively considering those customer’s interests in the changing and uncertain world.”
