Dame Susan Rice was Chair of the UK Financial Services Culture Board (appointed on 1 January 2020 as the Chair of the Banking Standards Board) until it ceased operations in 2023. Previously, she was a member of the First Minister’s Council of Economic Advisors, Managing Director of Lloyds Banking Group Scotland and before that was Chief Executive and then Chair of Lloyds TSB Scotland plc. She has held a range of senior non-executive appointments including as Chair of the North American Income Trust and founding chair of the Chartered Banker: Professional Standards Board, and serving a seven year term on the Court of the Bank of England. Earlier in her career, she was a Dean at Yale and Colgate Universities and a published medical researcher.
